Beginning therapy can be a daunting a task. I’m glad you made it this far. As a Portland sex therapist, I work with individuals throughout Oregon through secure virtual therapy sessions. Individual therapy is structured to be a transformational process. We begin by co-creating goals in session to imagine what you would like to achieve. As a systemic clinician, I am regularly bringing in aspects of social support, your most valued relationships, and other social dynamics that play a role in your growth. Sex therapy is interwoven through this process as we begin to unearth the major concerns that are impacting your distress at this time.
Talk therapy isn’t enough. My focus is to encourage this process outside of our sessions. The goal is a functional health. By interweaving elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness we tap into the mind body connection. Not only do you create skills for long term change, but that is felt in your body on a regular basis with decreased stress and increased ability to focus on the people and places that matter most.

HOW THERAPY CAN HELP
Meet Madeline Ball, LMFT
NICE TO MEET YOU
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist here to help you have a better relationship with your body and in your relationship. I’m a sex therapist in Portland, OR and meet with people virtually across Oregon. I received my graduate training focused on couples at George Fox University, and went on to specialize in sex therapy and sexual health at the University of Michigan.
I love to work with individuals to have more pleasurable experiences in their bodies. This process is focused on expanding sexuality to have more fun, more pleasure, and less painful sex. Individual sexual expression is a life long process. Working together I will help unearth pieces that have been hidden, exciting new territory yet to be discovered, and hopefully forge a new path forward for the individual sexual health you are looking to create in the future.
From the beginning, I’ve been passionate about working with people searching to understand how sexual health fits into their lives. If you need help finding your way back to sexual intimacy, I would be honored to guide you on the journey.

All sex therapy is intimacy therapy. But not all intimacy therapy is sex therapy. As you begin the process of counseling we may discover that in order to create more sexual passion we actually need to dig more emotional depth. This blog post can tell you more!
